On Good Friday we also went to Ft. Dickerson, a Union Civil War Fort located about 2 miles from us. It houses three or so cannons and some gorgeous views of the city. For those of you who might not know, Knoxville was highly Union-sympathetic and 3,000+ Knoxvillians joined forces with the Union during the war (officially--some mountain people, calling secession and the like a 'rich-man's war' literally took to the hills to avoid fighting for the Confederacy.) In Cades Cove in our nearby Smoky Mountains, there are gravestones that read, "Killed by a Rebel Soldier" at the Methodist Church...)....Anywho...here is a picture of Xander and I on one of the cannons.

Notice that Xander wasn't wearing a jacket and neither am I. It was 70 degrees that day (two days ago)...
Notice the weather report for today...
Current Condition: Mostly Cloudy
39 °F

Can't wait til we see temps in the 70's here. The photos are beautiful. I don't really dig gazing balls, but that's just me..

Hey, Chrissy! I love your blog. I miss you guys terribly and can't wait to spend time with you in June. I need to get me some bbq and pancakes! We need to shop for skin products at that fun lotion store in Gatlinburg. Easter here was dreary...30 degrees and 4 inches of snow. I must tell you about the ham.
What is up with no one digging gazing balls?
